After several explosions in Malmö recently, the residents of Gröndal are not surprised that there is a bang, but they are surprised that it is happening in their residential area.
- I was surprised that it was so close to where I live.
It is mostly the elderly who live here and nothing usually happens, says resident Maria Samarai.
Maj Dunvoll is standing on the street outside the police roadblocks.
She lives in Kulladal and works in the home care service.
- I have worked in the home care service for 37 years and nothing like this has ever happened, she says.
No one should have been injured
Several residents in the houses stand outside the barriers.
A man is worried because he cannot get hold of his wife or daughter who lives in the apartment building.
But the police can inform him that no one was injured and that the explosion did not occur in his stairwell.
