The success of the Beijing Winter Olympics has been reported frequently, driving more and more citizens to participate in ice and snow sports.

As a fashionable and challenging activity, skiing is loved by people, but there are also many people injured by skiing every year. Professionals suggest that beginners should proceed step by step to minimize the occurrence of sports injuries.

"Most of the injured skiers went to advanced tracks when they were not yet proficient." Zhang Chuyu, a ski instructor at V·SKI Mountain Academy, suggested that skiers should learn skiing skills step by step and choose their own ski trails , to avoid being competitive and eager for success.

Don't blindly hit the advanced slopes just after learning to ski.

Zhang Chuyu reminded that when skiing, you need to wear loose, warm, sweat-absorbing and conspicuous clothes, do not wear tight clothing such as jeans for skiing, and avoid snow soaking or tearing clothes after falling.

Beginners should also wear hip and knee pads; in order to prevent the eyes from being hit when falling, it is best to wear snow goggles.

Another function of snow goggles is to avoid snow blindness or glare caused by looking at the snow for a long time.

"Before skiing, you should also make adequate preparations, do a good job of warm-up, fully move your head and arms, and usually do some strength training for your arms and legs. Don't ski when you are tired or unwell." Xishan Skiing Dr. Liu Kaixiang reminded skiers that skiing consumes a lot of physical energy, and it is easy to cause injuries in a state of fatigue. They should pay attention to rest and ensure reasonable nutritional supplements.

Liu Kaixiang said that it is not recommended for people over 60 years old and children who are too young to ski.

Older people may suffer from geriatric diseases such as high blood pressure, heart disease and osteoporosis; children are vulnerable to injury because their bones and muscles are still developing.

"Children must be at least 3 years old to ski. At this stage, children can run and stop quickly, and they can control their bodies freely." Liu Kaixiang said that skiers often have sprained knees and hand joints, fractures or fractures.

If it is a first-time experience, it is recommended to ask a coach to accompany you to learn on the primary track. It is not recommended to go directly to the difficult ski track.

To prevent injury in a fall, every skier should learn how to protect himself in a fall before skiing.

Zhang Chuyu suggested that skateboarders should lean to the sides, and do not stretch their hands to the ground for support. Instead, they should use their hands to wrap their heads close to the chest and press down, not to lean back, as it is easy to fall to the head; Snowboarders are advised to slowly lower the center of gravity and let the hips touch the ground.

Most snowboarders fall and are injured because the speed of the snowboard is faster than that of the double board, and the reaction time is less, so beginners are advised to learn from the double board.
