American Maria Chikas became rich, thanks to a lottery ticket that her husband gave her on Valentine's Day, in which she won 10 million dollars.

According to the Virginia Lottery website, Maria won the fourth and final prize from the Extreme Millions Scratcher game, which was organized in conjunction with Valentine's Day.

Maria, a housewife in Haymarket, could not believe her husband's gift a few days before Valentine's Day, when he bought her the card in a store, thinking it was a joke.

She came back and said, "Oh my God! You're lying" in response to being told that her ticket had already won, and she turned to the lottery officials to validate her winning ticket.

Maria said she thought her husband was joking when he gave her a winning Virginia Lottery ticket worth $10 million for Valentine's Day.
