The night from Tuesday to Wednesday was turbulent in the Neudorf district of Strasbourg, at the Aristide Briand tram stop.
Around one o'clock and then five o'clock in the morning, buses, trams but also cars were targeted by shots from an airsoft rifle, said a police source.
The police cordoned off part of the area early in the morning to carry out investigations and a man just 20 years old, it is his birthday, suspected of being the author of the shootings, was arrested and taken into custody.
In a press release, the Compagnie de transport strasbourgeois (CTS) indicates that it has suspended traffic on tram line D from 5:02 a.m. to 8:11 a.m. this morning between the Jean Jaurès and Kehl Rathaus stops, in both directions of traffic, as well as having diverted bus line 31. In total, the CTS still specifies, five tram trains and two buses were damaged (starry windows).
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
A CTS complaint is in progress.
