It was on Monday night that the alarm about the accident at Stackarpsdammen came.

The dam hatches had stopped working and the water rushed through the power station.

- The water pushed out two reinforced steel doors, says Tord Andersson, project manager for the Rönne å project in Klippan municipality.

There was a risk that the dam would burst, according to the initial information during the evening.

The pond is monitored around the clock

At the moment, the dam hatches are controlled manually - the power plant's automatic regulation is not yet up and running.

This means that staff are on site around the clock.

According to Tord Andersson, the situation is under control.

Were you ever worried about the situation when you got the alarm?

- Before we got operating staff on site who could open the doors, it was of course critical.

But as soon as staff were in place, the water level dropped by just over 40 centimeters, says Tord Andersson.
