It has rained almost every day in provincial capital cities such as Nanning and Guiyang, and the cumulative precipitation in Haikou, Chengdu and other places has set a local historical record for the same period.

Since February, rainy and snowy weather in many parts of the south has taken turns.

In the southern provincial capital cities, such as Nanning, Guiyang, Fuzhou, Changsha, Chengdu, Haikou, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Nanchang, the number of precipitation days has exceeded 10 days since February. Rain "sees every day".

The accumulated precipitation in Nanning, Haikou and Chengdu was 160.8 mm, 147.3 mm and 29.9 mm respectively, all breaking the historical records of the same period since the local meteorological record.

Why has there been more precipitation in the south since February?

According to Wang Weiyue, a meteorological analyst at China Weather Network, the recent activity of the southern branch trough has made the warm and humid water vapor in the southwest significantly stronger. Coupled with the frequent cold air, the cold and warm air is easy to meet in the southern region, resulting in more precipitation.

The continuous rain also increased the relative humidity in all parts of the south, and the clammy and cold feeling intensified.

In a big city, Guiyang's highest temperature yesterday was only 0°C, the daily average relative humidity exceeded 80%, and the somatosensory temperature was around minus 4°C.

The highest temperature in Taiyuan yesterday was 5.9°C, the daily average relative humidity was 36.8%, and the somatosensory temperature was about 5°C.

It can be seen that under the frequent influence of cloudy, rainy and snowy weather, the south is even colder than the north.

Today (February 22), many places in the south are still in a wide range of rainy and snowy weather, but from tomorrow, the precipitation will gradually converge, and the temperature will gradually rise.

It is expected that by this weekend, the maximum temperature in many parts of South China will exceed the 20°C mark, and the maximum temperature in central Jiangnan and other places will also rise above 16°C.

It is expected that in the next ten days, the cold air force affecting my country will be significantly weakened compared with the previous period, and the temperature in the central and eastern regions will usher in a major recovery from the 24th.

The friends in the southern region can finally say goodbye to the cold and wet and welcome the warm sun, and the plan for the outing can be arranged.
