Ahead of the now introductory sports holiday week, Tärnaby hospital had planned to have two extra doctors who could help with all the bone fractures and ligament injuries that usually increase sharply when many people visit the mountain world.
- But unfortunately we have received counter-offers from these doctors and that means that we may have more emergency times and less planned times, says Lena Bitén Forsberg, department manager at Tärnaby hospital.
However, the staff situation looks better during weeks 9 and 10, when, for example, Stockholm and Västerbotten have sports holidays.
