Saudi Arabia celebrates founding day

Today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates the anniversary of the founding of the first Saudi state in 1727 AD, in pride in the firm roots of the Kingdom, and the close connection of its citizens with its leaders. On this occasion, the cities of the Kingdom witness the establishment of a number of cultural, artistic and popular events that express the extent of cohesion between the people and the rational leadership in the Kingdom. The events also embody the glories, heroisms, and nobility of the Saudi state, which links its prosperous present to its past, deep in the history derived from the history of the Arabian Peninsula.

The founding day is a national occasion of a festive nature in which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia evokes the leadership and people of the march of three centuries ago and the events and stances it carries that have been immortalized in history and biographical books. It established governance and made community security at the forefront of its concerns with serving the Two Holy Mosques and achieving well-being for the community.

The Saudi state passed through three foundational stages throughout history. The first state was founded more than three centuries ago by Imam Muhammad bin Saud and established a rich record of social, political, economic and cultural achievements that the people of the Arabian Peninsula experienced at the time. Then came the establishment of the second Saudi state by Imam Turki bin Saud. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Saud, which lasted until King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Faisal Al Saud in 1902 established the third Saudi state and unified it in the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his sons, kings after him, followed his approach in strengthening the building of this state and its unity until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

The commemoration of the first celebration of "Foundation Day" comes after the Saudi royal order was issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz last month that the 22nd of February of each year be a day to commemorate the founding of the state and become an official holiday.

On this occasion, the Kingdom issued a distinctive visual identity for the founding day under the slogan "Fat Day", in the middle of which appears the icon of a man carrying a banner, in reference to the heroism and sacrifices of the men of Saudi society and his wrapping around the banner that he protected over time to defend the nation with all wisdom, determination and determination.
