On February 22, local time, a train carrying refugees from eastern Ukraine arrived in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

There are about 1,000 refugees, half of them children.

The refugees first arrived in Russia's Rostov Oblast, which is adjacent to eastern Ukraine, and from there set off for Nizhny Novgorod.

The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region has ordered relevant departments to take care of the refugees in terms of medical care, education and daily life, and has divided the group of refugees into 6 groups and placed them in temporary settlements, children's centers, nursing homes and resorts.
