At 11.30 pm on Saturday evening, several alarms came about gunfire at Två Bröders väg on Norrliden in Kalmar.

It was the fourth shooting in eight days.

- There are four shootings too many, says municipal police Niko Kalcidis.

One murder and two attempted murders

On the night of Friday 11 February, a 22-year-old man was shot dead.

He was found dead at Östra Vallgatan near Kattrumpan.

Five days later, on February 16, another shooting occurred.

Two days later it is shot again, this time at Värsnäsvägen on Snurrom.

Police found bullet holes next to an apartment and after a technical investigation, the incident was classified as attempted murder.

The next day, the shooting took place at Två bröders väg on Norrliden.

The police stated that an apartment had also been shot at here.

No one was injured in connection with the shooting and the incident is being investigated as an attempted murder.

No arrests

Police have not yet arrested any suspects yet.

However, you work in several tracks at the same time.

According to Niko Kalcidis, the local police area has increased its presence and visibility.

- We have increased our external service and are in places where we feel we are needed, says Niko Kalcidis.

The police are investigating whether there is a connection between the shootings.

- This is a hypothesis we are working on.

But I do not know if they are connected, but of course we will see if there is a connection.
