Mohamed bin Zayed receives Speaker of the Indian People's Assembly

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received today at the Qasr Al Bahr Majlis Om Birla, President of the Indian People's Assembly, who is on a visit to the United Arab Emirates.

His Highness welcomed the Speaker of the Indian People's Assembly, and discussed with him the developments of bilateral relations in various fields, especially the parliamentary field, and ways to support, develop and push these relations forward during the coming period within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and India.

The meeting touched on the UAE-India video summit that was held recently and what resulted in the signing of the "Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" and the launch of the "Emirati-Indian joint vision" on the future prospects for the development partnership between the two countries.

The meeting dealt with the role of parliaments in strengthening relations between peoples, supporting the values ​​of peace and coexistence, and the importance of pushing the Emirati-Indian parliamentary relations forward during the coming period in the context of the comprehensive development witnessed by the two countries' relations at all levels.

The meeting was attended in Qasr Al Bahr Majlis, Federal National Council Speaker Saqr Ghobash, H.H. Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation For charitable and humanitarian works, and His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
