Madelene in Kramfors was affected by postcovid 2020 - still has symptoms

Both Madelene and her husband were severely affected by the coronavirus.

Symptoms after the illness lingered and the family chose to sell their house and move to an apartment in Kramfors, when the energy to take care of a house did not exist, which she told SVT Västernorrland in September 2020.

Heart palpitations

Almost two years later, Madelene still suffers from postcovid.

But the symptoms have decreased from about 40 to two.

- I have an inner tiredness and heart palpitations, heartbeats that come from time to time, she says.

Back at work

Madelene is able to work and does so in a nursing home in Kramfors.

And being back there does her good.

- It feels really nice, you get something else to think about.

Then I also gained a lot of experience.

If we were to get covid back to work, I know what it is and I think I can contribute with a lot of help and care, she says.
