He said this following the summit of the EU Foreign Ministers.

“We are working on an initiative to hold a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council with the participation of 27 member states and the High Representative in Kiev,” RIA Novosti quotes Di Maio.

According to him, such an initiative is being worked out in order to "give a clear signal of solidarity to the Ukrainian people."

Earlier it was reported that the EU decided to impose sanctions against 351 State Duma deputies and 27 individuals and legal entities after Russia's decision to recognize the independence of the LPR and DPR.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is not on the EU sanctions list.
