The owner of a motocross bike has found his machine stolen five years ago.

The vehicle had been stolen in Vienne and was finally discovered by the gendarmes of Clermont de l'Oise (Oise), reports

L'Aisne Nouvelle

.

The motorcycle had been seized on February 13 and the investigations carried out by the gendarmes made it possible to trace its trace.

A filed serial number

The gendarmes had intervened for a wild rodeo in the town of La Neuville-en-Hez.

They arrested the pilot of an 85cc motocrosser, whose serial number was filed down.

After cleaning operations, the military managed to identify it as the machine stolen in 2016. It was therefore returned to its owner.

The pilot, placed in police custody, indicated that the motorcycle had been given to him by another person.

The two men will soon be tried by the Beauvais Criminal Court.
