It was on New Year's Eve that the 15-year-old, according to the indictment, fired a fireworks display at a police car that was on assignment in the Skäggetorp district in Linköping.

"The act was such that it could be expected, and was intended to, seriously complicate or hinder law enforcement activities," writes chamber prosecutor Maria Håkansdotter in the lawsuit.

The penalty for sabotage against blue light activities is imprisonment for a maximum of four years.

If the crime is judged to be serious, the court can sentence to imprisonment for a minimum of two years and up to 18 years or life.

The 15-year-old denies the crime.
