Norrbotten County has decided not to allow lynx hunting.

The reason for this is that the lynx inventory shows that the lynx population is at low levels.

In Västerbotten, five lynx may be shot.

The County Administrative Board of Jämtland has granted license hunting of 24 lynx. The reason for this is to reduce damage to the reindeer industry and thereby contribute to achieving the Riksdag's goal of a maximum of 10 percent losses to predators for the reindeer industry.

In both the counties of Västerbotten and Jämtland, the hunt may be conducted between 1 March and 15 April.

If the quota is filled earlier, the hunt will be canceled.

In Dalarna, the County Administrative Board has decided that eight lynx may be killed with the aim of reducing the lynx population and reaching the administrative goals for the county and reducing the risk of increased damage to domestic animals.

In Dalarna, the hunt may take place between 1 and 31 March.
