According to a YouGov survey for Animal Cross, 41% of French people living in rural areas say they have been (themselves or their relatives) victims of a situation of insecurity linked to hunting.

This is particularly the case of Marie, who lives in Fontainebleau, in Ile-de-France.

"We have fields behind us and the hunters approach even if they have a distance to respect. The other time we had pellets that fell on the roof and on the cars", she says at the microphone of Europe 1.

"Unconscious" hunters

"They have to shoot high up so we hear the pellets falling into the gutter," continues the young woman who says she is very worried.

"I'm very scared knowing that even in our garden we can be injured. I don't walk quietly when there is hunting, from September to March. And for the dog, we put something showy on him , orange in color”, she says again.
