The Sri Lanka Pavilion organized, last night, a nature-inspired fashion show, hosted by the Jubilee stand at Expo 2020 Dubai, with the participation of two of the largest names in the field of women's clothing design in Sri Lanka, namely: Kamil and Dachi.

The show began with a set of distinctive designs presented by Dachi under the title "Wildlife", while Kamil presented a presentation of a group of colorful and vibrant designs, which mimic the amazing nature that Sri Lanka enjoys under the title "Safari".

The designs were presented by Sri Lankan fashion models.

Kamil said: "The (Covid-19) pandemic has dominated the world for more than two years, and the atmosphere has become devoid of joy and colors, so these designs were inspired by the nature of my country, to express the beauty of Sri Lanka, and the magic of nature that it enjoys, which no one disputes, So I relied on bright colors and soft designs.”

For his part, the event producer, Imran Saibo, who organized the show, said: "The designs evoke the spirit of Sri Lanka, and embody its beautiful nature."

He thanked Expo 2020 Dubai for providing the opportunity for Sri Lankan designers to be on the largest international stage ever.

Camille:

• “The designs were inspired by the nature of Sri Lanka, to express its beauty and the charm of nature that it enjoys.”

Imran Saibo:

• “I thank (Expo Dubai) for giving Sri Lankan designers the opportunity to attend the largest international platform ever.”
