The head of the DPR asked to fix the possibility of defense cooperation with Russia in the agreement

“We ask you to consider the possibility of concluding an agreement on friendship and cooperation between the Donetsk People's Republic and the Russian Federation, providing for cooperation in the field of defense,” he said in a video message. 

Earlier, Pushilin called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to recognize the independence of the DPR.

On February 15, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced that the lower house of parliament at a plenary session voted in favor of sending an appeal to the Russian president recognizing the independence of the LPR and DPR.
