The Committee of the Federation Council supported the law on the indexation of pensions for military pensioners by 8.6%

As noted in the explanatory note to the bill, the amount of the pension will increase from January 1, 2022 by 8.6% "using various mechanisms provided for by law."

On January 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to index the pensions of Russian military personnel by 8.6% from January 1, 2022.

According to the head of state, the initiative will affect 2.6 million people.
