In the appeal, the legislator noted that over the past decade, numerous delivery services for goods, including food from public catering outlets, have appeared and gained significant turnover in Russia.

Couriers of these services, as a rule, use two-wheeled mechanical vehicles, including those equipped with electric motors, the deputy emphasized.

However, moving mainly along pedestrian zones, as Khamzaev noted, they create significant discomfort for pedestrians, including children, who are forced to show increased attention in order to avoid a collision.

He also recalled situations when couriers hit pedestrians and caused them bodily harm.

“In this regard, I ask you to consider the possibility of withdrawing the traffic of delivery services, whose employees use two-wheeled mechanical, including electromechanical vehicles, from the pedestrian zone to the roadway, where they can move according to the existing rules for cyclists,” the statement says. in the text of the appeal.

Earlier in Russia, it was proposed to create traffic rules for electric scooters.
