In Sörmland, Fritidsbankerna in the county lent a total of 44,683 articles last year, which is more than a doubling compared to 2020 when 19,881 articles were lent out.
It still remains to be seen how many items will be lent out this year, but according to Mikael Jansson, who is site manager at Fritidsbanken in Eskilstuna, demand is increasing further.
- Compared to the same period last year, much more is lent out, he says.
There are a total of five leisure banks in Sörmland - in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, Katrineholm, Strängnäs and Vingåker.
And soon a sixth opens in Flen.
