“Separate issues of the bilateral agenda of Russian-German relations were touched upon, incl.

discriminatory actions of the German government against the RT channel in German, as well as the prospects for the Russian-German public forum "Petersburg Dialogue", whose activities are blocked by the German side," the message on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry says.

Earlier, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan called the decision of the German regulator MABB to ban RT DE Productions from broadcasting complete nonsense.

The head of RT DE Productions Dinara Toktosunova noted that the decision of the German regulator MABB will be appealed in court.

She noted that MABB is trying to falsely pass off the production company RT DE Productions as the broadcaster of the Moscow-based RT DE TV channel.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said the German regulator's decision on RT DE leaves Moscow no choice but to proceed with retaliation against German media outlets, as well as internet intermediaries, who have groundlessly deleted the channel's accounts from their platforms.

On February 3, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced the first stage of retaliatory measures against the German media due to the situation with the ban on RT DE broadcasting.

In particular, the Deutsche Welle office was closed in Russia, the accreditations of all employees of the Russian bureau of Deutsche Welle were annulled, satellite and other broadcasting of this television and radio company was stopped.
