Earlier in the day, the city of Nice decided to close all parks and gardens, the Phoenix park and the Paillon promenade, due to the gusts that have been blowing since this morning.
"The gusts do not drop below 80 km / h and there is a peak of up to 102 km / h in Mandelieu-la-Napoule", underlined Météo Côte d'Azur on social networks.
Météo-France has placed the department on yellow alert for strong winds until 3 a.m.
