A young man was placed in an artificial coma at the hospital in Brest (Finistère) after being seriously injured during a fight in front of a nightclub.

The violence took place in Plounevez-Quintin (Côtes-d'Armor) on the night of Saturday to Sunday, specifies

Around 4 a.m., a fight broke out between two groups of individuals.

One of them beat the victim, who had come between the protagonists of the fight.

Nightclubs have just reopened

This beating took place when nightclubs had only been reopened for a few days in France.

To combat the spread of Covid-19, establishments of this type had to close their doors on December 10, 2021.

The measure was initially to apply for a period of four weeks.

However, it had been extended.

The reopening of nightclubs on February 16, 2022 had been announced on January 20.
