An investigation has been opened after a man was the target of several shots on Friday evening in Fort-de-France (Martinique), reports

The investigations will in particular have to identify the perpetrator(s) of the shootings and determine in what context this shooting took place, which took place in the Terres-Sainville district.

Two bullet wounds

The vital prognosis of the victim was not engaged at the time of the arrival of the help.

The latter went there around 10 p.m. and found that the man was conscious, despite two bullet wounds in his back.

He was taken care of by the firefighters and the Samu and taken to the Pierre-Zobda-Quitman hospital in Fort-de-France.

The victim is 34 years old.

Friday marked the entry into force of a new curfew schedule intended to combat the Covid-19 epidemic in Martinique.

It is now possible to travel without a certificate until 10 p.m., compared to 8 p.m. previously.
