A man was arrested on Monday morning in Nice after assaulting his partner with a knife.
The individual in question is currently in police custody for attempted homicide, confirms to
20 Minutes
the public prosecutor, without giving further details at this stage.
The facts allegedly took place in an apartment on rue Cavendish, in the Liberation district.
According to the mayor of Nice, the man was “arrested in the Thiers sector”, near the station, after having “attacked his wife with a knife” and having “fleed away with one of the children”.
He would have "been spotted" and arrested thanks to the city's CCTV cameras, Christian Estrosi further advances on Twitter.
