Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency reported on Monday that a warplane crashed in the Tabriz region (northwest of Iran), killing 3 people.
Iranian television quoted the director of the Red Crescent in Tabriz as saying that the fighter plane crashed at the wall of a school that was closed at the time of the accident, while rescue teams were sent to the scene.
The Iranian official said that 3 people were killed in the accident, two of whom were members of the air force and another citizen who was in his private car.
The Iranian authorities are conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident, and its full details have not been announced yet.
