Police and rescue services were alerted to the E4 at 01:00 on Sunday night after a truck started burning while driving.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
Both lanes in the northbound direction had to be closed and according to a forecast from the Swedish Transport Administration, the work will continue until 10 o'clock - until then the traffic is redirected via Gammelsta.
No person should have been injured in connection with the fire.
