Queen Elizabeth is infected with Corona .. and the symptoms are "mild"

The British Royal Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II had contracted Covid-19, on Sunday, explaining that she was suffering from "mild" symptoms and would partially perform her duties at Windsor Palace.

The announcement of the Queen's infection comes two days after it was revealed that her son, Crown Prince Charles, had contracted the virus on February 10, two days after he met his mother at Windsor Castle.

It was not announced at the time whether the Queen underwent an examination to detect the injury, and last week she resumed the attendance meetings in the palace, but she informed a visitor that she was experiencing difficulty in movement.

And a Buckingham Palace statement said that the Queen "underwent a test today to detect infection with Covid-19, and the result was positive."

"Her Majesty is experiencing mild symptoms similar to a common cold but intends to continue performing low-key duties in Windsor over the next week," the statement said.

The statement indicated that the Queen "will continue to receive medical care and will follow all directions" given in this regard.

The surprise announcement comes after the queen, the longest-reigning on the throne of her country, celebrated the platinum jubilee of her rule, after she remained for 70 years on the throne, on the sixth of February.

The palace usually keeps the Queen's health status secret, but it had previously announced that she had received all the doses of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine.
