The use of drugs is increasing and the police are working to find both key people who deliver the goods and those who sell the products on.

In recent times, the police have been able to make large seizures, especially of cannabis.

In Skellefteå, the police found 20 kilos of cannabis in a seizure.

- What the police and customs take is only a fraction of what is available.

It is mainly cannabis but cocaine is on strong success, the same with amphetamine.

Tramadol is also found in every other pocket today, says Thomas Palmgren.

Creeps down with age

The police notice that young people get hold of the drugs - in some cases they are only 14, 15 years old.

They also receive many tips about young people who feel bad and use drugs to feel better.

That is worrying, says Thomas Palmgren.

- It feels like it's creeping down with age.

Many people make their alcohol debut when they are at this age - they may smoke a cigarette that turns into hashish, and then on to a pill.

The whole public debate has been very drug-liberal, for example in the music world where you glorify this type of life that gives a different picture of reality.

In the clip, Thomas Palmgren tells how many people in Västerbotten are tested for drugs every week.
