On Friday, the storm Nora pulled in over Skåne with storm surges and snowfall that caused canceled trains.

And on Sunday, heavy and persistent snowfall can disrupt traffic in Örebro County, Dalarna County, northern Västra Götaland County and Värmland County, according to SHMI's weather warnings.

The latest storm has barely subsided before a new storm blows in.

- It is expected to be windy again and there may be a lot of snow and rain in southern Sweden.

It is a deep low pressure that moves in overnight until Monday.

So the week begins with difficult weather that can cause disruptions to traffic, says meteorologist Marcus Sjöstedt.

"Stockholm worst affected"

This mainly concerns Götaland, Svealand and possibly southernmost Norrland.

SMHI has issued orange warnings for heavy snowfall and fresh winds that "give a risk of limited traffic" during both Monday and Tuesday.

- Eastern Svealand, including Stockholm, looks to be worst affected.

The snowfall can be really heavy.

In combination with the wind, it is likely to create problems on the roads, with delays of buses and trains and the risk of power outages.

Colder air also creeps down over the country with a few degrees below zero some distance south.

The storm will then move away on Tuesday and the weather will calm down.
