Earlier, Belarus and Russia decided to continue a joint check of the reaction forces due to military activity near the borders of the Union State and the aggravation in the Donbass.

The head of the Belarusian Defense Ministry, Viktor Khrenin, said that the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Belarus and Russia will work out further joint steps aimed at preventing war.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin, following talks in the Kremlin with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, said that the joint exercises of the two states do not threaten anyone and are defensive in nature.
