“The epidemiological situation in the regions of Donbass is not the most prosperous and more difficult in terms of coronavirus, at least than ours,” RIA Novosti quotes Popova as saying at a meeting in Rostov-on-Don.

According to her, the volume of testing for COVID-19 in Russia and Donbass is not comparable.

She noted that testing of refugees from Donbass for coronavirus should be carried out at temporary accommodation centers in the Rostov region.

Popova added that at the checkpoint of the region, it is necessary to organize registration of pregnant women, disabled people and infants from Donbass.

Earlier, a high alert regime was introduced in the Rostov region against the background of the evacuation of refugees from the Donbass to the region.
