It was a catch-up event for Valérie Pécresse last night at Le Cannet in the Alpes-Maritimes.

Candidate LR held her second meeting in a week, after the one criticized at the Zenith in Paris last Sunday.

Has she managed to make people forget this failure?

TO ANALYSE

Finished the desk, Valérie Pécresse occupies the stage, without notes or teleprompter.

More comfortable and natural, she still castigates the record of Emmanuel Macron.

"1,000 billion more than under Nicolas Sarkozy. This is Emmanuel Macron's balance sheet. If he were a business leader, it would look like a bankruptcy filing", she denounces.

A "free and indomitable" woman

Then, she declines for almost an hour her program, from school to ecology, through work, pensions or health.

"We are going to debureaucratize everything, simplify everything: all French people must be able to be treated quickly and close to home", promises the candidate.

Even if it means being accused of declining a catalog of measures, Valérie Pécresse does what she knows how to do: offer concrete solutions to the problems of the French...

After a difficult week, she now wants to turn the page and look straight ahead: "I came to tell you that I am a free and indomitable woman, and I am like a Mediterranean sailor, I will stay the course, until the Elysee ".

Pécresse will have to fight

"She ate lion", surprised an activist in the last row. The activists were therefore satisfied to have found their candidate, who will nevertheless have to fight hard to regain the points lost in a week in the polls.
