Actor Mustafa Darwish withdrew from participating in the movie "The Atheist", which began shooting a few days ago, after the statements of the journalist and author of the work, writer Ibrahim Issa, about "Al-Miraj".

The film "The Atheist" discusses the issue of religious extremism and departure from religion, a phenomenon that has spread among young people, and Issa sheds light through the film on the difference between atheism and religiosity without thinking or contemplation, along with religious intolerance and the danger of this to Arab and Islamic societies in the recent period.

Denial of the Ascension

Ibrahim Issa - during an episode of his program "Cairo Hadith" - denied the miracle of the Ascension, the ascension of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, to heaven and the vision of the people of Heaven and Hell.

Issa claimed that Al-Miraj is a "completely fictitious story", and that there are books in the biography and history that confirm this, but the sheikhs issue books to the contrary, according to his description.

This is in the context of his attack on the use of the sheikhs to obtain information, which he described as unreal.

withdrawal

A few hours after the spread of Ibrahim Issa's video, artist Mustafa Darwish announced his withdrawal from the film, through his official account on Facebook.

Darwish said that the reason is due to Ibrahim Issa's statement, and that he decided to boycott any program he presents, and apologize for participating in the movie "The Atheist", of which he was filmed 4 days ago.

He added that it is clear that there is a systematic war and that it is not acceptable to be a tool for war on religion at all costs, and he apologized to the working group for not completing the participation.

Before the decision to withdraw, Darwish was a candidate for a character called "Abu Musab", with Hussein Fahmy, Ahmed Hatem, Mahmoud Hamida, Sherine Reda and Sabreen, co-starring with him, and directed by Mando El-Adl, who directed Ibrahim Issa's latest film, "The Owner of the Maqam".

Ibrahim Issa had also raised a state of controversy after his statements on his program two days ago that Upper Egypt women wear swimwear (swimsuits), which prompted a member of the Legislative Committee of the Parliament, Mustafa Bakri, to respond to him, saying, “The women of Upper Egypt and the countryside are too honorable for anyone to say about them.” ".
