An urgent foreign ministers' meeting of the G7 = seven major countries will be held in Germany on the night of the 19th of Japan time over the growing tensions in Ukraine.


The focus will be on being able to send a strong message to Russia to calm the situation.

Concerning the situation in Ukraine, tensions are rising as President Biden of the United States expressed a strong sense of crisis on the 18th, saying "I am confident that President Putin has decided" about the possibility of a military invasion by Russia.



Under these circumstances, an urgent G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting will be held in Munich, southern Germany, on the night of the 19th of Japan time.



Germany, the presidency, called for an urgent event to coincide with the "Munich Security Council," where world leaders and ministers gather, and Foreign Minister Hayashi from Japan will attend.



At the Foreign Ministers' Meeting, it is expected that diplomatic efforts will be continued to calm the situation, and that Russia will unite in preparation for a military invasion and counter sanctions.



After the meeting, coordination is underway to issue a joint statement, and the focus will be on being able to issue a strong message to Russia.
