“First of all, the changes will affect the procedure for passing a medical examination, which will determine whether a citizen has medical contraindications to owning weapons,” Medvedev was quoted as saying by TASS.

According to him, the main difference from the current rules will be the mandatory passage of such an examination in medical institutions of the state or municipal health care system.

On January 13, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, proposed to restore the procedure for controlling the circulation of weapons and cartridges by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
