The bicycle kitchen in Norrköping is one of many around the country.

It in Norrköping has been started up by the association Cykelfrämjandet.

One of the goals of the kitchen is to make cycling more accessible, regardless of your financial circumstances.

- Many who come here have small financial resources.

If you are lucky, you can inherit a project and finally put together a finished bike, says Magnus Lagher who is responsible for Cykelköks in Norrköping.

The kitchen is a do-it-yourself workshop and it attracts both curious and more experienced cyclists.

A group of loyal visitors are students, but even serious cyclists visit the kitchen because they either lack some knowledge or because they need to borrow special tools that we have here, says Magnus Lagher.

"We call ourselves bicycle chefs"

The bicycle kitchen is a non-commercial business and is run by volunteers.

Thomas Karlsson has been a volunteer for several years.

- We volunteers call ourselves bicycle chefs, he laughs.

Today he is in place to leave some spare parts that he has brought with him from home.

Spare parts are collected from all possible corners and edges, bicycles are also collected.

Mostly from landlords who clean out bicycle storage, says Thomas Karlsson.

- Now the weather is not the most bike-friendly, but we look forward to spring and that more people start picking up their bikes, says Magnus Lagher.
