The industry has suffered two years of crisis.

Now there are many companies that search with light and lantern for knowledgeable staff.

On Saturday, the Swedish Public Employment Service's website had 897 vacancies in restaurants, cafés and commercial kitchens.

However, more than half are about seasonal work before the summer.

"Hard to find right now"

SVT has also seen several local companies looking for staff on social media.

One of those looking for a chef staff is Nathalie Dahlman, restaurant manager at Chapter house in Växjö.

- Trained knowledgeable staff is very difficult to find right now, she says to SVT.

Peter Thomelius, head of skills supply at the hospitality industry's employer organization Visita, has previously told TT that the companies have lost 50,000 employees in the past two years.
