“As our president stated, we have done and continue to do everything possible to reduce tensions,” he said.

Akar also stressed Ankara's commitment to supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity.

Earlier, the Turkish presidential administration said that the country would not refuse to supply arms to Ukraine.

At the same time, the Turkish Foreign Ministry asked Ukraine to stop talking about Turkey in the context of using the weapons supplied by Ankara, because after the purchase it “ceases to be Turkish” and becomes Ukrainian.

As noted in the Kremlin, the supply of such types of weapons to the Ukrainian military could lead to destabilization of the situation on the line of contact.

In particular, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan that Kiev is using Turkish-made Bayraktar drones in Donbass.
