“Secretary of State Blinken has accepted an invitation to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov next Wednesday,” RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
According to her, plans for a meeting will remain in place if Russia does not launch an "invasion" of Ukraine.
Earlier, the head of the press service of the State Department, Ned Price, said that Blinken accepted the date of negotiations proposed by Lavrov at the end of next week.
Lavrov commented on RT the possibility of a new meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
