H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, affirmed the distinguished relations between the UAE and the Republic of Hungary, noting that the two friendly countries are keen to strengthen them in all fields.

This came when His Highness received the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Peter Szijjarto, yesterday at the headquarters of Expo 2020 Dubai.

During the meeting, which was held in the presence of the Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, they discussed friendship and joint cooperation between the UAE and Hungary, and ways to develop them in all fields.

The two sides also discussed a number of issues of common interest, in addition to the latest developments in the region, at the regional and international levels.

Prior to the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Peter Szijjarto signed a memorandum of understanding between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy.

His Highness also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the UAE Ministry of Education and the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, for joint cooperation to implement the STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM program during the period from 2022 to 2024.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Minister of Education, Hussein bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, and the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjarto.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Ministry of the Interior of Hungary in the field of water resources management, signed by Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei and Peter Szijjarto.
