“It is planned to evacuate about 700,000 residents of the DPR.

First of all, these are children, women and the elderly,” the ministry said in a statement.

The first buses with residents of the DPR have already left in the direction of the Russian border, the local Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

Earlier, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, in an address to the residents of the DPR, said that in connection with the dangerous situation in the Donbass, the departure of the population to Russia was organized from February 18.

Also, the head of the self-proclaimed LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, called on the civilian population of the republic to leave for Russia as soon as possible amid the aggravation of the situation in the Donbass.
