The “World Health” warns: the conditions of the world are ideal for the emergence of a more dangerous mutation

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stressed that there are "ideal conditions" in the world for the emergence of a new, more dangerous version of the Corona virus.

Speaking about the progress of the Corona virus pandemic, Tedros said, in a speech during the Munich Security Conference, "In fact, the conditions that currently exist are ideal for the emergence of a more contagious and more dangerous version."

Tedros stressed that the vaccination process covered a wide spectrum of the population in some countries, and the “Omicron” mutant caused more severe cases of the disease, resulting in “the spread of dangerous talk about the end of the Corona virus pandemic,” stressing: “But it is not like that.”

He pointed out that the Corona virus kills about 70,000 people in the world every week, while health care systems still bear an excessive burden, pointing out that only following the development of the virus is an insufficient measure in itself.

Tedros, however, considered that the international community now possesses modern tools and technology to end the coronavirus pandemic in 2022 as a global emergency.

He stated, "Putting an end to this pandemic must be at the center of our attention... The lessons we have learned must be learned."
