Gun-Britt, 75, and Inga-Lill, 81, live on floors nine and eight, respectively, in the house that is popularly called Snusdosan in the Ortdrivaren neighborhood in central Kiruna.

The proximity to each other and other friends in the house is one reason why they have delayed moving when LKAB bought the condominiums in 2017. They have long known that the time for the house is limited, but have wanted to stay as long as possible.

It is a choice that has become costly.

Sprinkle additional salt into the wounds

During the time they have lived as tenants at LKAB on so-called demolition contracts without the right of possession, the prices of condominiums have more than doubled in Kiruna.

There is additional salt in the wounds for the upcoming move, which is probably as painful as it was.

It is a whole existence that is shattered in what is called the city relocation in Kiruna.

- It is impossible to describe, says Inga-Lill Lundström.

In the clip, the friends tell how their lives and existence have been turned completely upside down due to the move.
