The IS woman has admitted that she received child allowance, large family allowance and maintenance support during the current period despite the fact that she was not resident in Sweden - but according to her, there was no intention.

Ice-controlled area

According to her, she did not know that she would stay in Syria.

She told the district court that she thought she was on her way to a holiday in Bosnia with her ex-husband and their two children.

Instead, they landed in Turkey and then on a bus into Syria to the IS-controlled area.

Once in Syria, the woman could not contact Swedish authorities.

Child allowance and maintenance support

In total, these are payments of child allowance and large family supplement of a total of SEK 71,250, as well as SEK 91,234 in maintenance support.

However, the district court considers that the woman's story is vague and that it is not convincing.

Norrköping District Court therefore sentences the woman to a suspended sentence and a 50-day fine of SEK 50.

A jury member was divided and said that the woman had not committed a crime.
