Prime Minister Kim Bu-gyeom said that he is not considering a plan to expand the target of the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to all citizens.

In an interview with SBS today (18th), Prime Minister Kim said, "There is an opinion that if you continue to receive the vaccine, it will not help your resistance to other diseases. That's why we don't consider it at all, and we're watching how other countries handle it," he said.

Prime Minister Kim predicted that the spread of Corona 19 in Korea will peak around early March based on the repair forecasts of various research institutes, and that the number of confirmed cases per day will be around 170,000.

He emphasized that the announcement of the new social distancing period from tomorrow to the 13th of next month is about three weeks, so as not to burden the presidential election schedule.

Shortly thereafter, <SBS 8 News> will deliver detailed information about the government's countermeasures through an interview with Prime Minister Kim, etc. amid an explosion in the number of confirmed cases due to omicron mutation.
