With the aim of testing a new prison before its official opening, the prison administration in the Swiss province of Zurich decided to publish an advertisement for a request for volunteers.

The French magazine Le Point (Le point) says that a new type of tourism has emerged in Switzerland, and despite its strangeness, it may develop and will be popular in the coming period, as the prison administration in the province of Zurich recently closed the registration door for volunteers wishing to spend 4 days in prison.

The goal behind this strange operation is to experience a new prison, and it is programmed that the prison receives detainees or temporary prisoners behind its bars.

The newspaper indicates that this new prison will officially open its doors next April, and in the meantime, it will receive more than 100 volunteers.

In this experiment, prison staff, along with the district prison administration, will collect important information about the quality of this new facility, its impact on the quality of life of inmates, the effectiveness of the various systems and equipment in it, and its response to safety and security standards.

Better than usual conditions

And in a strange surprise, the local authorities in the province of Zurich received a large number of volunteer requests for people willing to spend 4 days in prison, as more than 700 citizens - all adults - expressed their desire to experience this strange experience, so the authorities rushed to close the nominations on the day Sunday February 13th.

150 of these candidates will be selected for the opening of the new prison, and the administration has confirmed that prison conditions will be less strict for these people compared to ordinary prisoners.

But these facilities will not include electronic devices, as these volunteers will be prevented from communicating with the outside world or performing any work remotely, however they will be exempted from some difficult procedures, such as searches of the prisoner after stripping him of his clothes.

These volunteer prisoners will be able to request to end the experiment and return home whenever they want to, and cells will be allocated for smoking, and meals will be provided according to the inmates' desire in order to facilitate this strange experience.
