Here, everyone looks at their mobile phone during the lesson - but no one wants to get rid of it

There must be order and order in every classroom and in the entire school system.

This was said by the Minister of Education Lina Axelsson Kihlblom (S) during today's press conference where the government presented new bills that are intended to increase student peace in the school.

According to the proposal, students' private use of mobile phones during class time should be prohibited and should only be used for the purpose of education.

"Teachers should not fuss about mobile phones," the minister said.

Mobile hotels have been used

At S: t Eskilsgymnasiet in Eskilstuna, different methods have been tried depending on how big the problem with mobile phones has been.

For a period, they had a so-called mobile hotel - a shelf where students were asked to put away their mobile phones during class time.

- Some students think that they must have their mobile phone and must be allowed to answer if it rings.

So in some situations there can be a lot of discussions, but I do not feel that it is a huge problem here, says the school's principal Johan Ahlqvist.

At the same time, no one wants to get rid of their phone.
